The Speed of Timber Frame Construction
08 July 2013
The key to any successful timber frame build is getting the main structure wind & water tight as soon as possible. With this in mind one of the main benefits of timber frame construction is its speed compared to traditional building methods.
The wall panels, metal web floor joists and roof trusses that construct the timber frame structure are pre-fabricated offsite and delivered to site where the structure can be erected in a matter of days, allowing follow on trades (i.e. plumbers and electricians) to commence works again reducing build times and site costs.
